I Do Something.

Detroit Ice Squirrel and Motor City Bad Ass, cataloging the series of *somethings* I do.

I do Something *Ground-Breaking*.

As most of you know, 5 months ago Jerry bought a property for LOVELAND at auction. The property, located at 8887 E Vernor, gave PLYMOUTH a home and turned what we had been calling *Future Inches* into *Actual Inches* for You Guys, our Inchvestors!

Friday, before heading to Battle Creek for our friends’ Lorraine and Floyd’s wedding, that I mentioned in my last post, we went to get the pole that will provide a perch for Project Lemon Battery’s solar panel and camera.

Then we flew to the Russel Industrial Center (where I was trapped in the freight elevator) to meet with some very nice people who want to make a documentary about LOVELAND.

This is how I feel about being trapped in a freight elevator.

And this is how Bad Ass I am during interviews.

Yesterday, we brought out our shovels, measuring tape, solar panel, wits, and muscle, and broke ground! We dug the hole that we will sink the pole for the Project Lemon Battery into. We plotted out and cleared the space that your inches are on. And we documented the whole process using Lemon Battery… who’s solar panel also kept Jerry and Alan’s iphones full of juice.

You can check out the time-lapse video of the whole process here:

And individual stills on LemonBattery’s Flickr.

And here are a few of the day’s highlights snapped with Jerry’s camera, where I am, primarily being a Motor City Bad Ass, and *supervising*

And…. riding wild shovels!
